Core Mechanics
Each area is gated by a unique puzzle: the Garden uses overgrown plant puzzles, the Basement requires the doll key, the School chalk-drawing logic, and the Hospital medicine cabinet riddles. Most areas have at least one hidden room.
Advantages
Because Endacopia is non-linear, you can sequence areas to minimize backtracking. Doing the Basement first lets you carry the doll key to the School, while the Hospital benefits from late-game inventory upgrades from the Garden.
Challenges
The non-linear design means first-time players may wander into the Hospital too early and hit difficulty spikes. Some hidden rooms require obscure item combinations only hinted at by character dialogue.

Quick Tips
Each area has a hidden room that is only accessible with the right item combination — backtrack after every NPC quest completion.
Non-linear means you can sequence areas to minimize backtracking: Garden → Basement → School → Hospital is a tested order.
Hospital is the hardest area; do School first to pick up the Flashlight upgrade that helps with cover-based combat there.
Every area has at least two music boxes; some are inside hidden rooms that require item combinations.
